Meet our Coaches

Chris Sachvie

Squash Director

Chris Sachvie is a level 3 certified squash coach and will oversee the squash staff and programs at the Specter Center. Chris grew up in Canada and was a member of the Canadian Junior and Under 23 National Teams. He graduated from Cornell University in 2010 and was a three-time captain and College Squash All-American. Chris earned a Master’s of Education focusing on Leadership and Administration from St. Lawrence University while serving as their Assistant Coach. He’s also held coaching positions at Brown, Dickinson, and Columbia University making him very knowledgeable about the college recruiting process and the level of play it takes to play squash in college across the different levels. He has also led Canada’s Junior Athlete Development summer programs and Battle of the Border teams several times. Chris is active in the PSRA singles league and plays on the SDA Pro Doubles Tour.

Karim Ibrahim

Squash Professional

Karim is from the world-renowned Wadi Degla Squash Club in Cairo, Egypt where he has been helping lead their junior squash program the past two seasons. Karim represented the Egyptian Junior National Team at multiple events during his career. He is a former US Junior Open Champion and was ranked as high as #2 in Egypt as a junior. Karim attended St. George's in Newport, RI before helping the St. Lawrence University's Men's Squash team reach a program high of #3 nationally in 2017. During his tenure he also served as a team captain and was named a CSA First Team All-American. Karim is a coach and manager for his younger brother Youssef Ibrahim who is currently ranked 11th on the PSA World Tour.


Freddy Hernandez

Squash Professional

Freddy's experience comes from playing squash as a junior all the way through his college years at Franklin and Marshall. Additionally, Freddy served under Manek Mathur as an assistant squash professional at the Racquet and Tennis Club in the summer of 2019, and subsequently, operated as the Director of Squash at CitySquash Brooklyn during the 2019-2020 season.










Charles Loesch-Quintin

Squash Professional

Charles Loesch-Quintin was born and raised in Center City Philadelphia and grew up playing at Germantown Cricket Club. He competed on the US Junior circuit and was recruited to play at Amherst College where he captained the team and later returned as their Assistant Coach. Charles served as the Squash Director at Squash and Education Alliance member program StreetSquash in Harlem, NY for two years. He is currently a student in the Doctorate Program for Physical Therapy at Temple.









Private Lessons
