A record sixty-six registered Women’s Squash Week events in eighteen states were held across the United States, September 16-22.

The goal of Women’s Squash Week is to inspire women and girls to get back on court after the summer, reconnect with old friends, and introduce new women and girls to the sport.

One of the largest events took place at Harvard University where more than seventy women from Massachusetts Squash jumped on court. More than thirty-women enjoyed clinics, round robins and doubles at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia.

US Squash Community Affiliate programs hosted events including Access Youth Academy in San Diego, Atlanta Community Squash and  StreetSquash in Harlem.

The Cynwyd Club in Philadelphia welcomed the new SDA Pro Tour season with the first women’s professional doubles event of the year–the Philadelphia Open, September 20-22.

“We are so happy that pros, clubs and programs around the U.S. delivered a record 66 Women’s Squash Week events around the country,” said Linda Elriani, US Squash Senior Director of Professional Development & Programming. “We’d like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone that made the extra effort to increase female participation in squash. Let’s keep the momentum going and work towards record participation at Howe Cup, Skills and Masters events. Thanks again everyone!”
