Alexandra Jaffe defeated her twin sister and DeRoy Sportsmanship Award co-honoree, Samantha, in a five-game GU19 final, while BU19 top seed Alexander Dartnell claimed his second national title without dropping a game on finals day of the 2025 U.S. Junior Squash Championships Sunday, March 16, at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia.

The U19 champions list will have two new names on it in Alexandra Jaffe and Alexander Dartnell, both of whom represented Team USA at the World Junior Championships in Houston last summer.
The GU19 final was just the second time in history that two siblings contested the U19 finals against one another with the Jaffe sisters following the likes of Marina and Lucie Stefanoni in the 2021 final. Alexandra won her four most recent matches against her spanning back to the 2024 junior championships and narrowly closed out their junior squash careers with a fifth straight win 11-5, 8-11, 10-12, 11-6, 11-3.
Dartnell put together than impressive title run as the BU19 top seed and didn’t drop a game all tournament. Dartnell defeated sixteen-year-old Yaseen ElShalaby in a 3-0 final to clinch the title. Dartnell, who won the 2024 High School National Title with St. Andrew’s School in Florida, adds his BU19 national title to his 2023 BU17 national title.
Newtown Square, PA’s Riya Shankaran won her second national title as the GU17 two seed, defeating top seed Charlotte Sze in a close final 11-8, 8-11, 8-11, 11-6, 11-4. Shankaran adds to her GU15 title in 2023.
BU17 top seed Brendan Tagliarini pulled off a dominant title run without dropping a game, culminating in a 3-0 final win against two seed Omair Athar. Tagliarini, a New Haven, CT native, celebrates back-to-back national titles following his BU15 title in 2024.
GU15 top seed Isabella Tang won her second national title without dropping a game, adding to her 2023 GU13 title. Tang, a McLean, VA native, defeated two seed Vivienne Sze in a 3-0 final.
BU15 three seed Jude Cha earned his first national title by upsetting the top two seeds in the semifinals and finals. Cha, a Lakeville, CT native, clinched the title in a five-game final against top seed Vivaan Mehta 11-9, 11-1, 5-11, 5-11, 11-8.
Chicago’s Sakshi Mathur won her first national title as the GU13 two seed, defeating top seed Kaylee Li in a 3-0 final. Randor, PA’s Armaan Ibrahim Burhan fulfilled his top seeding to win his first national title, defeating two seed Graeson Smith in a four-game final.
Chatham, NJ’s Alice Wang captured her first national title as the GU11 top seed without dropping a game. New York City’s Archibald Anolik won his first national title as the BU11 two seed, defeating top seeded Anderson Morgan in a three-game final.
